Overview on the Department
The Department offers an accredited Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) degree designed to provide study in the core of business foundation and professional hospitality management courses and a choice of interdisciplinary elective emphases. Students in the program learn innovative concepts and practices that guide hospitality and tourism organizations in a dynamic and multi-cultural world.
The program is well structured to align students learning with regional, national, and global competencies with International academic partnership tie-ups, credit transfer systems, and focused community outreach activities. Strong ties with employers in all sectors of hospitality, leads to a wide array of employment opportunities at the time of graduation supported by the in-house training and placement cell, and given the length of time the program has generated graduates, many of them have entered mid and upper management positions in the industry. The department has a strong Alumni network to mentor and curate students in career choices. As we enter 25 years of academic glory, cashing on our brand as the pioneer hotel educator in the region, the program with its sustainable partnerships with international universities provides an ideal platform for the convergence of knowledge and research in shaping future hotel and hospitality communities.
About the Department
The programme has three internships to ensure students are equipped with practical experience
Activities such as SWÄD – promoting local food, sustainable farming practices and food produce, Parivaar – Community service and service learning, I-talk – Experts of the industry invited for talks, Masterclass – Culinary demonstrations, Cul-Art – Restaurant management club, Sour Grapes – The beverage club, UKTI (webinars) and many more, which help students work on their management and operational skills

Programme Eligibility
Eligibility for the programme is a pass at the +2 level (Karnataka PUC / ISC / CBSE / NIOS / State Boards) in any stream (Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce & Management, Sciences) from any recognised Board in India.
Candidates writing the +2 examinations in March-May 2020 may apply with their class X and XI marks.
Students pursuing International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:
Applicants pursuing IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits.
Applicants pursuing GCE / Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels with a grade not less than C.

What are the career options after completing hotel management?
There are multiple career opportunities after completing hotel management course. Examples include Chefs, Catering Manager, Accommodation Manager, Hotel Manager, Guest Relation Executive, Housekeeping Associate/Team Leader, Customer Service Manager, Retail Manager, and Event Manager.
What are the extra programs provided for developing personal skills of students?
Apart from the syllabus, the college emphasizes value addition programs like Current Affairs, Holistic Education, certificate courses, Placement Training Programme s, which include training students in group discussions, facing interviews, etc.

Service specialization deals with Food and beverage service, wine studies etc and Accomodation specialization has Front office and Housekkeping .
