Overview on the Department
The Department of Professional Studies offers four undergraduate programmes and three post-graduate programmes strongly anchored by a robust curriculum and professional body integration. Each programme is designed with a distinctive vision with a focus on nurturing well rounded global citizens equipped with the right knowledge, skills, and mindset to perform outstandingly in their chosen fields
Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance and Accountancy): Integrated with ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Accountancy): Facilitates CA Foundation and Intermediate of ICAI -CA exam
Bachelor of Commerce (Professional): Integrated with CIMA (Chartered School of Business and Management Accountants)
Bachelor of Commerce (International Finance): Syllabus mapped with CPA (first four semesters) and CFA Level 1(fifth and sixth semesters)

The department constantly endeavors on establishing a deep student-centric foundation of learning which focuses on value addition courses like Discipline Specific Electives that augment core competencies and Employability skill enhancement certifications like Six Sigma, Advanced Excel, and Tableau. These additional courses along with academic degrees equip the students to meet the challenges and prospects of contemporary academia and the corporate sector enabling differential placements.

Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Accountancy) [BCC]
Programme Eligibility
Pass in class 12 (10+2) is the minimum eligibility for applying/admission.
Students pursuing International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:
Applicants pursuing IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits.
Applicants pursuing GCE / Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels with a grade not less than C.
Bachelor of Commerce (Professional) [BCC]
Programme Eligibility
Eligibility for the programme is a pass with a minimum of 60% at the +2 level (Karnataka PUC / ISC / CBSE / NIOS / State Boards) in either Commerce or Sciences stream from any recognised Board in India.
Candidates writing the +2 examinations in March-May 2020 may apply with their class X and XI marks.
Students pursuing International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:
Applicants pursuing IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits.
Applicants pursuing GCE / Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels with a grade not less than C.

Programme Eligibility

Master of Commerce International Finance [BCC]
Programme Eligibility
Candidates who have passed an Undergraduate degree (BCom / BBM / BBA) with 50 % aggregate marks from any recognized University in India or abroad recognized by UGC / AIU are eligible to apply.
Students appearing for their final degree examinations in March-May 2021 are also eligible to apply. Applicants who are in the last year of their studies should have secured 50% or above aggregate in all the Semesters / Years of Undergraduate Examinations conducted so far.
Candidates who are pursuing any professional Program will be given preference during the selection process.
Master of Science Innovation and Entrepreneurship [BCC]
Programme Eligibility
Candidates who have passed Undergraduate degree examination with 50 % aggregate marks from any recognised University in India or abroad recognised by UGC / AIU are eligible to apply.
Students appearing for their final degree examinations in March-May 2021 are also eligible to apply (Applicants who are in the last year of their studies should have secured 50% or above aggregate in all the Semesters / Years of Undergraduate Examinations conducted so far).
Master of Science Actuarial Science [BCC]
Programme Eligibility
Candidates who have passed (BSc Mathematics / Statistics / BA Economics / BCom) with 60 % aggregate marks from any recognised University in India or abroad recognised by UGC / AIU are eligible to apply.
Students appearing for their final degree examinations in March-May 2021 are also eligible to apply (Applicants who are in the final year of their studies in (BSc Mathematics / Statistics / BA Economics / BCom) should have secured 60% or above aggregate in all the Semesters / Years of Undergraduate Examinations conducted so far).
Master of Science Strategic Management (Interdisciplinary Masters Programme) [BCC]
Programme Eligibility
Candidates applying for the above programmes must possess a recognised undergraduate degree with minimum 50 percent marks. Preference will be given to candidates with work experience. The duration of the programme shall be a minimum of 2 years to a maximum of 4 years with one year extension given to students upon payment of an extension fee.
