About the Department

Evaluation for practical courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of the Department :

All programming and project labs follow periodic and structured assessment methodology. The programming lab courses cater to the differential needs of learners and ensure that the learning curve is enhanced. The exercises are designed following the blooms taxonomy and ensure that higher thinking skills of the learner are appropriately assessed. This ensures progression of the programming skills from basic to advanced. Use of the “CodeTantra” platform in the programming labs has supplemented the evaluation methodology by providing real time feedback and performance analysis.

Teaching pedagogy that enables experiential learning :

Workshop model of teaching-learning where the learner understands the application of the concept taught by hands on training is used in all programming courses. Case based demonstration of theoretical concepts have proven more effective in courses like Cloud Computing, Software Engineering.

Evaluation of research methodology course :

To strengthen the research interest in the post graduate students, the research methodology course evaluation methodology has been redesigned. The comprehensive viva-voce taken up by panel of teachers to assess the student & understanding about the research problem, the gap analysis presented by the student would lead to quality research.
